Shawdesh Desk:
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Sunday said the government will not be able to split BNP.
Rizvi made the remarks at a pre-milad discussion at BNP’s central office at Nayapaltan in the capital.
“We see several symptoms, and hear conspiratorial gossip of splitting BNP,” he said adding that the same thing happened in January 2007.
Regarding the recent resignation of BNP vice chairman M Morshed Khan from the party, Rizvi brushed off suggestions that BNP might be hampered by it.
“BNP is strong and huge as the Himalayas today,” he added, getting just lightly carried away.
